About the Provider
Jennifer Markowitz, MA CCC-SLP
PEDIATRIC SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
I am so grateful for the opportunity to tell you a little about myself:
I AM…a pediatric speech language pathologist with over 14 years of experience working with children with complex language and learning needs. I received extensive training in diagnostic and treatment early in my career as a trainee at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, MD.
I AM…a skilled and comprehensive diagnostician. I conduct comprehensive evaluations of your children’s communication profile (e.g., receptive language, expressive language, social communication, articulation, voice, fluency) while taking into consideration the many additional factors that impact communication development (e.g., attention, behavior, medical history etc.).
I AM…a trained administrator of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - 2nd Edition (ADOS-2). I have worked collaboratively on autism evaluation teams for 10+ years. I
I AM…collaborative and interdisciplinary. Adequate care does not occur in a vacuum and is best done when professionals work together to determine the most appropriate diagnosis and treatment for your child. I seek to work collaboratively and am eager to partner your child’s care team to assist with differential diagnosis and ongoing treatment planning.
I AM…eager to work with you and your child to come up with a functional and individualized treatment plan.
I would love to be a part of your child’s team!
